I knew a trip to Scotland in October was likely to be rainy and it sure is. The bonus on the Orkney’s was 30 mph winds with gusts up to 40. The other bonus is all the rain is plenty of spectacular rainbows.

I saw my first double full rainbow! As we motored along the mountains were full of rainbows.

The Stone circle was much more impressive than Stonehenge. There were 88 stones originally from 5 thousand years ago but only 27 remain. You still get a sense of the grandeur and the place filled me with awe.

Although I knelt and placed my hands on the stone I remained firmly in 2022. Drat.
