Today I spent a few hours in Aix En Provence (pronounced Ecks) so it was a bit of an appetizer for next OCT/NOV when I plan to spend 6 weeks with the Road Scholar Abroad Program. This visit I was delighted to order my Café Au Lait and Croissant in French and successfully asked for the bill (Le Addition). Next year I will be attending French Language School four days a week for 2 ½ hours a day and let’s hope I will be able to handle more than croissant ordering. I am starting my formal Study Abroad program with French which I find really difficult but if that goes well I hope to expand to Italian, Spanish and German where I have a bit of a head start. I am also attending the Cooking School portion but don’t have high hopes as the only thing I cook well is soup and I’m afraid I will have to follow rules and a recipe (not my strength).
Here is one of my travel companions Karen with Cezzane – sorry to say my education also needs to include artists because I didn’t even recognize the name, much work to do in that department. BTW Karen is usually quite fashionably dressed, but in this shot her sassy look is accentuated by stylish buttoning. When reviewing this picture I laughed so hard I cried!
