There was joy in the streets as the people of Laos celebrated their New Year.  It was one huge water fight with kids, teenagers and adults all getting into the fray. The water is suppose to be about washing off the old year and starting fresh with a new year but it was just one giant bucket of fun and an excuse to get wet. I’ve rarely seen an event that created such joy – the folks on scooters and Tuk-Tuks were specially wet victims.  So while it is hot in April I can definitely recommend going for their New Year as you’ve never seen anything like it.  Enjoy the pictures!
