Yes a post entirely about the Dung Beatle because they are fascinating and romantic. The Dung Beatle finds a piece of Elephant Dung and then the magic happens. The female creates a perfectly round ball. Then the female rides on the ball as the male rolls the ball around looking for the perfect place to mate. After a great courtship and ride the female places her eggs inside the ball and digs a hole and buries the ball in the ground. The baby Beatles arrive and feast on the nutrients in the dung until they are ready to face the world and the whole process starts again.  They only live a short time but what a fun ride!  Aren’t you glad to be reading my blog to find such fun facts!
