Racing the Storm!

IMG_1928.jpg

We interrupt this pleasant blog with a real time update with life on the HIGH seas.  The picture provides the projected wave heights on the atlantic ocean. This is not a hurricane but a massive low. We were suppose to stop in the Canary Islands for 2 days but instead we are racing south to attempt to get to the edge of the storm. The Captain has assured us the ship can take it but says this isn’t going to be pleasant.  I think he had less confidence in the sea worthiness of us passengers. We are loaded up with Bonnine and Downton Abbey DVD’s so expect to weather this well. Good training for me, pre Mariner’s School, but of course WhimSea will stay in port if there is much more than a ripple. Wish us luck through the gauntlet!
